CHARTER:-Great Tracks Cleanup Crew and Volunteers
Our Volunteers make a positive difference-to our organisational goals and to the South Australian environment.  
This charter has been developed in consultation with all members of the Great Tracks Cleanup Crew. (GTCC) The GTCC is committed to working in the North East, North West Pastoral areas and the Northern Flinders and Gawler Ranges in relation to the cleaning up of these pristine environments.

GTCC’s MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE’s COMMITMENT TO Members/Volunteers:

  • Regard Volunteers as valuable members of our team and recognise their contribution.
  • Value the time, energy & commitment of volunteers and not make unreasonable demands on them.
  • Treat Volunteers and each other with respect and courtesy.
  • Be open, honest and fair in our dealings with our volunteers.
  • Ensure volunteers have safe and healthy working conditions, appropriate training, safety equipment and insurance cover.
  • Protect the confidentiality of personal information relating to volunteers.
  • Ensure volunteering is open to all members of our culturally diverse community.
  • Enable volunteers to get the most out of their volunteering.
  • Consult and engage with volunteers where appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with our volunteers and our sponsors as well as other community groups.

VOLUNTEER’s RESPONSIBILITY:-

  • Be effective partners and support our Management Committee.
  • Be flexible and reasonable in accommodating the requirements of GTCC.
  • Treat all members and volunteers of GTCC, Sponsors and the public as well as each other with respect and courtesy.
  • Be open, honest and fair in their volunteer roles.
  • Take responsibility for their own and each other’s health and safety and not put the health and safety of others at risk.
  • Use information gained in the course of volunteering with sensitivity and discretion observing confidentiality..
  • Contribute to harmonious workplaces, valuing the cultural diversity of our community.
  • Inform other GTCC members and management when you have a concern.
  • Consult and engage with Management.
  • Provide feedback on our service and how we can enhance our service further.
  SCOPE: this Charter applies to individual volunteers who work with the GTCC
